Dance Lessons

SwingCville offers fantastic swing dance lessons with a variety of local dancers. Learn classic swing dances like Lindy Hop and Charleston, meet new people, and work on your skills to get ready for our monthly dance!

Weekly Lessons

We offer regular beginner and intermediate level lessons every wednesday:

  • Crash Course Our beginner Crash Course is designed to take beginners from zero to swing in just 2 hours. If you've never danced before, this is a great way to start! The Crash Course is held on the 4th Thursday of every month. For more details, click here.
  • The Cat's Corner .The Cat's Corner is our weekly lessons and & practice session where you can get a short workshop and then lots of dancing. Every Wednesday we offer an intermediate level workshop at 7PM and a beginner workshop at 8PM. For more information on Cat's Corner, click here.

Monthly Lessons

We also offer special intermediate level workshops each month at C'ville Savoy , and there will always be a Beginner Lesson right before each C'ville Savoy dance!

C'ville Savoy is held on the 4th Saturday of each month except for holiday weekends such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Typically our schedule includes an intermediate workshop from 5-7pm, followed by a beginner lesson at 7:30 and dancing from 8:30-11:30pm. For details about the next C'ville Savoy, click here.

Private Lessons/Special Events

There are several dancers in SwingC'ville who have years of experience in teaching couples, small groups for parties, weddings, special events, fundraisers, talent shows, etc. Email Us and we'll be happy to connect you with a dance instructor who can come to you!

Parking:
Please park around the back of the Glass Building in spots marked "Doctor's Office", which are available to the public after hours. Street parking is available along Garrett Street. There is also a parking garage next door to the Glass Buiding on the corner of Water St. and 2nd St. SE. and a large paid parking lot nearby.
